Want to check out more tasty soup recipes like this one? Hit my Instagram! With the temperature cooling off a bit across the country, it is time to start cranking on the soups and stews again. As I’ve been working out a little bit more and doing more gymnastics work lately, I’ve been going above […]

There’s no surprise how passionately I can get into a skillet. They are too easy to make, eat, and clean. I’ve gone Italian, Mexican, French, cookie, you name it — but now I have a new one for you: American.

So I post all of these awesome recipes for dips, salsas and guacamole then I get all of this hate mail that there is nothing to eat it with that is “paleo.” Oh, not so fast, internets

What is acai, anyway? Maybe you’ve heard of acai bowls being a superfood or reserved for the super trendy hipster crowd, but fear not!

It is a pretty safe bet to say that guacamole is one of the best sides you can add to a dish. You can eat some (plantain) chips, toss on eggs, add to soups and stews and it provides a huge punch of healthy fats and micronutrients you wouldn’t normally get.

More meaty goodness always over on my Instagram.  Eating meat off of the bone is one of the most primal things one can do. Most hot, smoky, slightly charred, fatty cuts of meat bring out a certain hunter gatherer in me that isn’t seen all of the time. This animal inside can be seen when gnawing […]

More salad inspiration can be found here: my Instagram.  It is officially summer, and that means it is officially tomato season! Heirloom tomatoes are the best of the bunch, and if you’re lucky to find a farmer’s market in your area that has some locally grown heirloom tomatoes, you are in for a treat. Most […]

Want to see other fiery goodness? Check out my Instagram. I’ve long since held this simple stance, but food is much better when you add some flavor. Some habanero salsa can definitely have that effect. For those of you who don’t know, I eat a pretty monotonous diet from when I wake up until dinner. […]

More healthy treats can be found on my Instagram page, and nowhere else. There are no surprises that when I chose to make a predominantly paleo fudge brownie that I was going to commission Lovebean with the fudge production. They produce some of the best and cleanest fudge on the planet (as well as other […]

Check out more smoked meat goodness over on my Instagram! Whole birds are one of the best ways to meal prep. Get three or four of these things cooked up on a Sunday and you have amazing meals for the rest of the week. One of my most favorite ways to prepare birds is through a […]

More wingastic recipes over on my Instagram. There is no secret here at how tasty I think wings are. They are all over the Instagram account and are wolfed down pretty readily most Sundays, especially during football season. If you can get easily your hands on some pastured wings (hell, Costco even has organic ones […]

Want some more saucy ideas? Better check me out on Instagram.  When I first went “paleo”, I removed all condiments and anything dairy and felt great. As I recommend a lot of other people do as well, I started experimenting and adding foods back in. Dairy was a food that I added back in that […]

Want other super easy and healthy snack ideas? They can be found on my Instagram. Easter is right around the corner! If you celebrate with the masses, chances are you’re going to have plenty of hard boiled eggs that have been dipped in fancy colors. These get popped into baskets with fake grass and even […]

Alright my paleos, it is officially springtime! Although living in the Bay Area, there never really is any season. There is fog and no fog. The weather has been no fog and no rain for about 8 months now, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be eating for the season.

Most of this country is in a deep freeze (not me!) right now, so I thought what better way to warm everyone up than a new soup recipe! Yes, yes, I know what you are thinking – isn’t pork chile verde already pretty much paleo?

The big game is coming up pretty soon here and you know what that means? Yep. Wing time. Americans are ready to eat over ONE BILLION (yes, with a B) wings on Super Bowl Sunday. Pretty ridiculous.

A recent trip to France still has me obsessing over how to recreate traditional French dishes in a paleo light. This is currently happening behind the scenes at the Dr.AG HQ, but will have to wait until the bugs are worked out.

Admittedly, I’m not a huge cookbook person. I feel like I’m pretty damn good at cooking myself and usually whip things up on the spot with more of an intuition than direction. However, every now and then a beast in the kitchen comes out with an amazing resource that I can learn from. Enter The Zenbelly Cookbook.

Often when people switch to whole food (or paleo or primal based diets), they think of what they’re giving up, and not gaining. Well here is another reason to not think of giving anything up – three meat paleo lasagna.

Savoy cabbage is often overlooked when we’re talking about the cabbage scene, which makes me sad. Savoy cabbage is much more tender than green or red cabbages which are bitter and rubbery before being cooked.

Winter time is by far the best time for soup creations. Using some seasonal ingredients is always fun. Here we have roasted butternut squash and apple soup!

Meal prep has been something that has been lacking for a lot of my patients lately, so I thought this is a perfect way to get around that.

Some of my recipes are extremely detailed and have 183 ingredients of varying amounts. I’ve decided to make an easy one for you guys. Three ingredient Moroccan eggs in avocado!

What happens when you mix one of our most popular recipes, coconut milk custard, with another one of our amazing recipes, pumpkin pie bites? Pumpkin pie custard, duh.

I know, I know, paleo eggs benedict with butter… if you want to call it primal eggs benedict, go ahead. Not a big deal! Hollandaise just isn’t hollandaise without butter, sorry.

Ah, the paleo pancake. Quite an odd invention. Typically, no breakfast works for me. When I do want breakfast it is an extravagant brunch, but I guess every now and then you want some basics. Coffee. Pancakes. Football.

Fall is upon us, so naturally you’re going to be flooded with recipe upon recipe of anything pumpkin flavored. Let’s stick to the basics here and make the staple of pumpkin pie as healthy as we can.

One of the biggest things that people are missing when switching to a paleo diet is pasta. While my opinion is that this is completely unnecessary as you are usually after eating the contents ON the pasta and not the pasta itself, some people will still have that craving.

Ready for some more skillet sensations? Check the Instagram! The name is a little misleading for this recipe: Spicy Italian Breakfast Skillet. Yes, it is spicy. Yes, it tastes Italian. But NO – you do not have to have this breakfast skillet for breakfast. Maybe you want it for dinner. Lunch? Go ahead. Meals cooked […]
